For our client in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced, motivated Senior DevOps Engineer / Cloud Architect (Azure).
Our client is looking for a skilled and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer / Cloud Architect (Azure) to help shape the architecture of a new, cloud-native trading platform. The role involves addressing key challenges such as security, red zone integration, NSG rules, and ingress strategies, while also evaluating potential WMPC connectivity.
They are seeking a strong communicator with the drive to challenge the status quo and push solutions forward in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Ihre Aufgaben:
- Architect and implement complex infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a focus on AKS, DMZ, firewall policies, and Swiss region-specific restrictions
- Lead the transition of Istio-based service mesh to a modern, Helm/Helm Charts-driven deployment model
- Review and challenge existing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) implementations using Terraform, ensuring compliance, scalability, and best practices
- Provide architectural guidance on networking, firewall rules, and communication flows between on-premises systems and Azure public cloud
- Act as a DevSecOps consultant, advising on secure deployment patterns, group policies, and governance
- Coach and mentor engineering teams, offering senior-level consultancy on VMs, policies, DevOps pipelines, and automation
Ihr Profil:
- Proven experience in setting up large-scale Azure cloud data centers
- Deep expertise in Azure Cloud Architecture and AKS best practices
- Strong understanding of DMZ, Service Mesh (Istio), and Terraform
- Solid grasp of DevOps concepts and ability to review Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Ability to critically assess and improve current architecture and implementation
- Experience with Unix, Shell scripting, Ansible, and Python
- Strong understanding of networking principles, security compliance, and cloud governance
- Ability to review code, challenge architectural decisions, and drive improvements
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus
