What impact do you have?
- Responsibility for advancing our mobile apps (Digitec & Galaxus) comes with room for creative ideas to enhance the consistency of the mobile shopping experience.
- Hands-on involvement in the conception, implementation, testing, and release of smart native features is a key part of the role.
- Taking ownership of the entire app cycle includes continuously improving quality by addressing issues and planning and executing refactoring efforts.
- Within the team, the agile process is shaped collectively, focusing on small tasks with short iterations to maximize customer value.
- Supporting less experienced engineers in their daily work and actively sharing knowledge strengthens the team as a whole.
- Open, transparent, and clear communication is essential. Providing and receiving constructive feedback is encouraged.
What do you offer?
- Completed degree (university / university of applied science / higher technical college) · in Computer Science or related field.
- Recent experience · in mobile app development with native technologies over several years.
- English (business fluent), German (Basic knowledge) ·
- Higher education degree in computer science (ETH/UNI/FH) or equivalent relevant professional experience is required.
- Recent experience in mobile app development with native technologies over several years is essential.
- Passion for iOS app development, along with expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, Swift Concurrency, and Swift Package Manager, is highly valued.
- Openness to working on an app that incorporates WebViews is important.
- Familiarity with testing iOS apps, including unit tests and UI tests, is expected.
- Strong understanding of agile software development principles is beneficial.
- English proficiency is required, along with either existing German skills or a strong motivation to learn the language on the job with support from our education programs.
